There is one book though that she like to help me read and that is Where is Spot? This particular board book is a lift the flap book and it feature one of her most favorite words to say "no."
I won't lie, that book is temporarily hidden. She make me read it a million times a day it feels like and I just coudn't take it anymore!
Of course, she is still eating the book, so it is a good thing they are made of cardboard and are pretty sturdy. They definitely wont be books I pass on to someone else in the future though. A good few of them are getting pretty beat up!
I know I could take them away and only allow her to use them when I hand them to her, but I like to let her have the freedom and explore her stuff. And it seems to be working! Her enjoyment of books appears to be growing all on its own and I love that!

This is such a fun take on the classic Hansel and Gretel fairytale!
However, instead of being human, the kids are chickens! Chickens that have been studying martial arts so that they can protect themselves and the ones that they love.
And the old lady that lives in a candy house is a fox! And the fox lives in a house made of cornbread!
So much fun!
And the art work is fun and pleasant to look at. Very vibrant and fun.

Milk Goes to School is a fun story but it also has a message. A great but still serious message for school aged kids.
This story teaches kids that even though you think you are being nice, that you may still be coming off as kind of "spoiled" to other kids. It also shows that not all kids are nice all the time and that they can be kind of mean. It is definitely a conversation starter.
Now, when you read this book you need to be ready for a lot of food related puns. This book is FILLED with them. I'm sure the littles will really get a kick out of them and may even start using them when they find a chance. So be ready to hear them a lot and often.
All in all, the story is a lot of fun while it teaches an important lesson.

This book is hilarious!
It is about Snappsy the Alligator who doesn't really want to be in the book. He is just trying to go about his every day stuff, but the narrator keeps bugging him.
This is a perfect book for those who love to do voices! Snappsy and the Alligator tend to "talk" to one another throughout the book which gives you, the reader, plenty of chance to make fun voices during storytime. That, or you could do one voice and if you are reading with a someone learning to read, they can do the other voice! A lot of opportunity with this one for sure!
And while the illustrations are on the cartoony side,they are still a lot of fun and enjoyable to look at.
I am sure this is one that I am going to be asked to read a lot, especially when I get some voices down for the characters!
